Producer Henrique Couto announces the release of throwback comedy Horndogs Beach Party

USA Up All Night throwback Horndogs Beach Party is now streaming on Amazon and available for purchase on Blu-ray / DVD.

I have very fond memories of watching USA Network's Friday and Saturday night movie block USA Up All Night, staying up late and having my cinematic taste shaped by TV safe edits of films I would have been too young to watch otherwise - and might have still been too young to watch anyway.

Independent filmmakers Dustin Ferguson and Henrique Couto also have fond memories of the Up All Night era, and have teamed up to make a throwback to the type of raunchy comedies USA used to show. Their collaboration, which Ferguson directed and Couto produced, is titled Horndogs Beach Party, and the film is now available for viewing through Amazon Prime Video (where's it's streaming under the title Surf Beauties Unleashed) or on a Blu-ray / DVD combo release that's available for purchase through HorndogsBeachParty.com.

Just like in the days of Up All Night, the streaming version of the Horndogs Beach Party has been cut down a bit. To see the "naughtier cut", you'll have to buy the Blu-ray / DVD.

Horndogs Beach Party tells the following story:

Two best friends rent a beach house for the weekend only to discover it’s been double booked so they’ll have to share the place... with two beautiful women! To win the affection of these gorgeous gals our wannabe studs must throw the best beach bash ever to win the legendary Horndogs Beach Party. However a nosey neighbor and some selfish dude-bros have sabotage on their minds. Will our heroes win the girls' hearts? Can this be the greatest beach party ever? What time is the wet t-shirt contest? All will be revealed.

Couto had this to say about the film:

"I’ve been a fan of late night movies for as long as I can remember, getting a chance to help create a fun, goofy comedy and have that atmosphere back has been a real joy."

A movie that promises to transport me back to the days of USA Up All Night is definitely one I'll be watching as soon as possible.
